Active Strategies for Dealing with Harassment/Macro and Microaggression

When confronted by a situation that involves harassment, macroaggressions, or even microaggressions, you can be an agent of UPSTANDING rather than BYSTANDING. You don’t have to just let it run its course. You can intervene safely and effectively. Here are five strategies you can use.

First go through the slide show “Active Strategies for Dealing with Harassment/Macro and Microaggression”. While you go through these slides think of ways in which you could engage them in the setting of the hospital or the clinic. Then go through the One Page Curriculum on the Five D’s. Reflect on a situation that you have experienced and how you did or could have intervened. Be prepared to discuss this reflection in our group session.
