Quality Improvement and Patient SafetY
Helping you find a way to help improve the quality of care delivered at the hospital
The QI curriculum consists of 4 quarters. Each quarter has a packet and readings to assist trainees with understanding the principles of quality improvement and patient safety. Prior to your QI session with Dr. Fried, please complete the packets and required readings. Alternatively, you can download the QI curriculum via the JiTT app.
It all begins with generating a SMART aim and elevator pitch. You will generate these statements for interprofessional Quality Improvement/Patient Safety projects that support institutional goals.
During the next quarter, you will undertake a diagnostic journey to help prioritize the elements that will help you obtain your goal.

Utilizing a rapid cycle Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) strategy, you will achieve your goal.
All your hard work will allow you to analyze and present your project in a system wide quality improvement/patient safety forum.
