Q: Why did you choose to apply to the Primary Care Track?
A: I knew I wanted to be in a primary care adjacent specialty and I also loved the idea of being in a cohort where I would be able to get more frequent and specialized mentorship in primary care and more exposure to different ambulatory settings.
Q: What has been your favorite part of training in the Primary Care Track?
A: It allows me to be with people who care about primary care like I do and care about looking after complex patients. It’s like a family within a family at Lenox Hill.
Q: What are you looking forward to about your future career in medicine? (Basically, what do you plan to do after residency?)
A: I want to do a fellowship in geriatrics and palliative care.
Q: Any awards/projects/publications that you’d like to highlight?
A: I recently won the teaching competition at the mid-Atlantic SGIM (society for general internal medicine) conference. It was a ton of fun and a great learning experience for me.
Q: What do you like do for fun outside of medicine?
A: I’m from Canada and am still so new to New York! I always get excited and overwhelmed at all the amazing places there are to eat. Walking Central Park with my husband will always be one of my favourite ways to unwind in the city.
