Peter Ko

Q:Why did you choose to apply to the Primary Care Track?
A: I chose the primary care track because of its focus on teaching medicine for the most vulnerable and complex patients that are deserving of great care! I was also inspired by Dr Im & Dr Killian and could tell they would be incredible leaders and educators for us residents.

Q:What has been your favorite part of training in the Primary Care Track?
A: The camaraderie and friendships I've developed with my fellow PCT residents. We are a small group but are all very close to one another.

Q: What are you looking forward to about your future career in medicine? (Basically, what do you plan to do after residency?
A: I am looking forward to establishing my own panel of patients and developing lifelong bonds with them. I hope to be the primary care doctor that patients trust and feel confident in.

Q: How have you customized your Long Block?
A: I have arranged to work with various primary care attendings working in a number of different settings to maximize my exposure to different facilities and practices.

Q: What do you like do for fun outside of medicine?
A: I like to participate in run groups once or twice a week to meet different people and stay in shape. I also enjoy eating my grandma's kimchi, taking long walks on the beach, and being my mom’s favorite.
